The main lubrication methods for stainless steel deep groove ball bearings are grease lubrication and oil lubrication.

Grease lubrication is simple to operate and has relatively low sealing requirements, making it suitable for low-to-medium speed environments with minimal temperature variations, such as office equipment and small motors. When selecting grease, its consistency and type should be determined based on the operating temperature.

Oil lubrication offers excellent heat dissipation and can meet the demands of high-speed, high-load conditions. Common types include inlet lubrication, drip lubrication, and spray lubrication.

Grease Lubrication

Suitable Operating Conditions: Low to medium speed bearing rotation; sealed/semi-sealed bearings (clutch bearings with dust covers, motorcycle bearings with rubber seals); applications requiring high cleanliness or to prevent oil leakage (food processing machinery bearings, medical equipment eccentric bearings, household appliance flange bearings).

Core Advantages of Grease Lubrication: Grease simultaneously acts as a seal, reducing the intrusion of impurities and dust; requires no replenishment, maintenance-free; the oil film is stable and does not easily evaporate, making it suitable for intermittently operating equipment.

Bearing Grease Types: Greases compatible with stainless steel must be selected, such as lithium-based grease, polyurea grease, or bearing greases suitable for high-temperature conditions.

Oil lubrication

Applicable working conditions: High-speed, high-temperature environment, and equipment that operates continuously under heavy load (such as motor bearings, precision machine tool spindle bearings, and ball bearing making machines).

Oil lubrication comes in the following three forms:

Oil-immersed bearing lubrication: The bearing is partially immersed in lubricating oil. It is suitable for medium and low speeds and has a simple structure, but it is prone to generating oil churning resistance at high speeds.

Bearing drip lubrication: Oil is supplied through an oiler or gear splash, suitable for scenarios requiring precise control of oil volume.

Oil spray lubrication for bearings: High-pressure oil is sprayed directly onto the rolling elements, or oil mist diffuses into the interior of the bearing. It is suitable for high-speed and high-temperature conditions and has the best heat dissipation.

The core advantages of oil lubrication are: strong heat dissipation capacity, low frictional resistance, which can effectively reduce the temperature of the bearing during rotation. The low frictional resistance of bearing oil lubrication is suitable for high-speed operation conditions, and impurities can be removed through oil circulation.
