What are stainless steel spherical plain bearings?
Stainless steel spherical plain bearings, also called rod end bearings, are a special type of sliding bearing. Their inner and outer raceways are spherical, and the rolling elements are spherical sliders, allowing for multi-angle relative oscillation.
Unlike ordinary bearings, their most significant characteristic is their ability to withstand large angular displacements. They are suitable for complex operating conditions. Due to their stainless steel material, they possess excellent corrosion resistance, but are susceptible to rust and damage in harsh environments such as humid, acidic, or alkaline conditions. Stainless steel spherical plain bearings, with their corrosion resistance and multi-angle oscillation capability, ensure the smooth steering of steering gears. They are widely used in fields requiring high corrosion resistance and smooth joint movement, ensuring safe navigation for ships.
