This grand event marks a major breakthrough for my country in the field of ultra-precision manufacturing, successfully breaking through long-term foreign technological blockades and achieving independent control and industrial application of fully dynamic pressure air bearing technology.
Independent Technological Innovation Fills a Domestic Gap
Fully dynamic air bearings, as core components of high-precision equipment manufacturing, are hailed as the "crown jewel" of the bearing industry due to their zero-contact, wear-free, and high-precision characteristics.
For a long time, this technology has been constrained by international technological monopolies, blockades, and export bans, becoming a bottleneck for the development of strategic industries such as aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing in my country.
The industrialization achievement of the fully dynamic air bearing released this time is the culmination of 25 years of dedicated research by the Beijing Pujian Air Bearing Technology Application Research Institute and the Beijing Pujian Composite Materials Application Technology Research Institute.
Through joint strategic cooperation with enterprises in the industrial chain, they have successfully overcome the technical challenges across the entire industrial chain, from innovative configuration design and core material development to ultra-precision manufacturing processes, filling a gap in the domestic industrialization of related fields and demonstrating my country's strong independent innovation capabilities in this area.
